Barn Conversions
Barn conversions and period property.
Metropolitan Insulation Services’s spray applied polyurethane foam insulation is a popular choice for anyone involved in barn conversions or the restoration of period property including Grade I and II listed homes, schools and churches.
On roofs, our solutions ensure that the existing character is maintained as there is no need to remove original slates or tiles – the cost savings of this method are also significant.
Only a thin layer of Capital’s foam provides an effective thermal insulator, and this may be plastered over to achieve a successful finish, leaving beams and rafters exposed.
We would recommend that this type of work be scheduled in line with building and plastering work, as any overspray will need to be removed from beams to achieve the desired results.
We can treat flint, natural stone and timber frame walls using the same techniques to provide water resistant, fully insulated structures in barn conversions and listed property with no cold bridges.
Metropolitan Insulation Services has over 15 years experience as specialists in its sector and a reputation for quality, professionalism, value and service.
We have wide experience in assisting with barn conversions and the restoration of period property. All work is sympathetic to existing finishes.
